APEHilly Bumpkin is a distinctive hybrid developed by Basidium Equilibrium, combining Albino Penis Envy (BLUEAPE21) × Hillbilly Pumpkin. The project brings together two well-known genetic backgrounds and has been selectively worked through multiple generations to produce its own recognizable expressions.
The original project began with their BLUEAPE21 Albino Penis Envy genetics and an established Hillbilly Pumpkin isolation. The two cultures were brought together through anastomosis, the fusion of compatible fungal hyphae, creating the foundation of the APEHilly Bumpkin lineage.
Early generations displayed considerable variation, with different specimens expressing characteristics associated with each side of the cross. Continued cloning, selection, and subsequent spore generations allowed the project to develop into the distinct lineage known today as APEHilly Bumpkin.
